Issue No.2's CALL FOR WORK

Before we get to the work itself, I want to say that, though this issue is small, that I hope that my vision for what this magazine will become is clearer. My "Hypothetical Issue Zero" was misleading because it showed so much page-based work & that is not what I wish to publish (I have also pulled that post, its job having been done). I am primarily looking for work that has been placed in the world, but as the submissions for this issue have made clear to me, some of that work is already out there waiting to be noticed (see MacLeod below) and while I thought of the creation as being private and the presentation as public this can be interestingly inverted (see Chirot). But I was gratified to see submission of two things that are right up the alley I live and breathe on (Lloyd & Sanders).

Many thanks to other visual poets who sent interesting work, gave me advice or encouragement, or helped me spread the word and to those who sent work that was not quite enough in-the-world for this magazine.

James Sanders contributes to the APG blog and is the editor of the sound poetry web magazine aslongasittakes his work can by found in many other places.
David-Baptiste Chirot blogs, and has an interesting essay about visual work here and has opened my eyes to different ways of doing visual work in the world.

CALL FOR WORK for Issue No.2 of REPUGNO SELECTS!

SUBMISSION PERIOD for Issue 2; between Aug 1st and Oct 31st.

I would like to do a 2nd issue of this magazine by early November (honestly I would like to do it sooner, but I am setting the publication date further out so that there will be more time for work that suits my needs to accumulate. Maybe if the idea starts to make sense to people I will get more work and then be able to publish more frequently.

Please do the following before you send to this magazine.
1st, Look at Issue No.1.
2nd, Read the two sidebar items on this page "My Biases" and "Sending to this Mag"
3rd, Think about whether your work fits in these parameters, (or perhaps if it stretches them) and if so, send it to me in the formats & with the additional information I ask for.

Thanks,
Ray
